Sci-Fi Thriller STATIC Has Entered Pre-Production

Atlanta, GA – June 25, 2025 – Mad Titan Productions & Big Oomp Films proudly announces that its highly anticipated sci-fi thriller, STATIC, has officially entered pre-production. Set against the eerie backdrop of a rural farmhouse during a mysterious global phenomenon, STATIC will begin principal photography July of this year in Georgia.

Written and directed by Marcus Reyes, STATIC explores the terrifying unknown through the lens of a fractured father-daughter relationship tested by survival. The story follows Riley and her estranged father, Mark, as they take shelter in a remote home just as the world descends into chaos. What begins as a strange electromagnetic disturbance soon reveals itself to be something far more sinister something not of this world.

“STATIC is a grounded, high-concept thriller that blends intimate character drama with suspenseful sci-fi mystery,” said Marcus Reyes, founder of Mad Titan Productions. “This project is deeply personal, drawing on fears of isolation, regret, and the unknown, both in our relationships and the world around us.”

The film features a chilling atmosphere, haunting visuals, and an unnerving creature known only as The Watcher. With a mix of practical effects and post-production design, the project promises a visceral, cinematic experience on an indie budget. Shooting will take place on location in Calhun, Georgia.

STATIC is part of a growing slate of original genre films produced under Big Oomp Films, known for blending compelling narratives with high production value on modest budgets.

The project is expected to wrap production by the end of the year, with a release slated for 2026. Distribution discussions are currently underway.
